If you are a Navimow user facing any issues with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or 4G connectivity, this guide will help you fix the problem without any hassle.

We will share common issues and their causes. It will help you figure out the root cause of the issue in your scenario. We will also share some effective solutions that you can try on your own to solve the issue.

Fixes for Bluetooth Not Connecting

Enable Bluetooth

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Go to the Settings and look for the Bluetooth option. If it is turned off, turn it on.

Sometimes, the Bluetooth is turned on, but it still does not connect. Turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it on again.

You can also restart your phone and try Bluetooth again.

Activate Bluetooth

Bluetooth Permissions

The Navimow app requires Bluetooth permission to connect with the mower. If you have not granted the permission, that is the real problem.

To check and grant permission, open the app settings. Go to the Permissions section and see if the Navimow app has Bluetooth and Location permissions. Grant the permissions, open the app, and try connecting with the mower again.

Keep the Phone within Range

Bluetooth has a limited range. If you are out of range, the app won’t connect to the mower. While connecting, your phone should be within three meters of the mower.

Once you are within range, open Bluetooth settings and look for the mower’s serial number under “Available Devices” or “More Devices.” Tap the serial number to connect the mower via Bluetooth.

Restart the Mower and App

The app or mower might not be connecting due to a glitch or background process. It’s better to restart both of them to clear the temporary memory and reset the system services.

It often works on various issues. Once you start the app and the mower, you can try connecting the Bluetooth again. It might solve the issue.

Update the Firmware and App

If the firmware or app is outdated, you might experience issues with the Bluetooth connectivity. Navimow regularly releases firmware updates, and you should switch to the latest version as soon as possible. The same is the case with the mobile application.

The recent update has patches and fixes for bugs, glitches, errors, and other issues. To update the firmware, open the Navimow app. Go to Settings > Mower > Device Management. Look for the Firmware Version. If there is any update available, you can update it from here.

Before updating the firmware, make sure the mower is on the charging station and connected to a stable network (4G or Wi-Fi). It should have at least 20% battery, and there should be no mowing schedule in the next hour. If any of these are missing, the update will be interrupted.

For the app, you can open the Play Store or the App Store. Search for the Navimow app. If there is any update available, you can update it easily.

Fixes for Wi-Fi Not Connecting

Verify Wi-Fi Network Details

The Wi-Fi network name should not contain any special characters. If there is an emoji or anything other than the numbers and alphabet, you should change it. You can change the network name from the router settings.

Secondly, the Wi-Fi password should be no longer than 64 characters. If it is too long, shorten it and try connecting the mower again.

If you are using a dual-band Wi-Fi router, make sure to connect the Navimow to the 2.4GHz band. The mowers do not support 5GHz at the moment.

Check Wi-Fi Signal and Obstructions

Your Navimow mower requires a stable Wi-Fi network to work seamlessly. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, the mower might connect and disconnect repeatedly or not connect at all.

Sometimes, the weak signal is due to an obstruction, such as walls. If the router is far inside the house and way away from the mower, the signals will be weak. The reason is that the signals go through the walls to reach the mower.

A better option in this case is to bring the router closer to the mower or lawn. You can change its location, and the mower will connect easily.

Restart Mower, Router, and App

There could be a glitch or bug stopping the mower from connecting to the Wi-Fi network. You can try restarting the mower and the app.

Similarly, the router might have reached the maximum number of devices. In this case, the mower will not connect to it unless you restart it or increase the maximum device limit.

Sometimes, the Wi-Fi router hangs due to overwhelming network traffic. Restarting it might resolve the issue.

Upgrade Router or Use Extender

The issue could be with the router itself. You can start by updating the Wi-Fi firmware. An outdated firmware could be the main culprit. But if the Wi-Fi still does not work, you can look for an upgrade.

Upgrade to a better router. It will offer improved range, speed, and connectivity. Secondly, if your router is far away and moving it to any other location is not possible, you should use a Wi-Fi extender. It strengthens signals and improves range.

Update the Firmware

The firmware of the mower could be outdated. In this case, the mower might not connect to the Wi-Fi due to bugs and errors. However, you can easily solve the issue by updating the firmware to the latest version.

You can update it through the Navimow application. Go to Settings > Mower > Device Management. If there is a new version available, update it. It will hopefully resolve the issue.

But before updating the firmware, you need to do a few things. Firstly, switch to 4G as the Wi-Fi is not working. Go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Select 4G only. Put the mower on the charging station, and make sure the battery is at least 20%. Cancel any mowing scheduled for the next hour.

Try Mobile Hotspot

If you are experiencing weak signals and an unstable Wi-Fi network, you can try a mobile hotspot. Turn your Wi-Fi router off for a while. Use cellular data, turn on the mobile hotspot, and check if the mower connects to it or not.

Mobile hotspot for Navimow

To connect the mower to the hotspot, go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Now, you can select the Wi-Fi network. Enter the password and tap Connect.

If the mower connects to the hotspot and works fine, it means there is an issue with the router, Wi-Fi strength, or internet connectivity.

Switch to 4G

Navimow mowers also support 4G and Wi-Fi. You have the option to switch to 4G to enjoy seamless mowing.

Go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Select 4G only. After that, your mower will only use the 4G for internet connectivity.

Fixes for 4G Issues

Check 4G Service

Firstly, make sure that your 4G service is active. But if it is expired, you can recharge or subscribe through the Navimow app. Go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Select the plan and complete the payment.

The mower also needs reliable 4G. Sometimes the 4G signal is weak in the area, which is why the mower faces issues.

If that’s the case, the only option is to switch to Wi-Fi. Go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Here, you can select Wi-Fi only.

After that, the mower should work fine.

Restart the Mower and App

Restarting the mower and app could resolve various temporary issues. If the mower was connecting to the 4G without any errors, and now it is creating the problem, restart it. Close the app as well and open it again. You can also restart your smartphone.

By doing so, the temporary memory is refreshed. It also resets the system services. Now, try to connect the mower again and see if it works.

Update the Firmware

Often, outdated firmware creates various issues, and one of them is 4G connectivity. If you are using outdated firmware, you should update it. The latest firmware version has bug fixes and more features.

Go to Settings > Mower > Device Management. Check the Firmware Version. If there is any update available, you should go with it.

But make sure the mower is on the charging station. It should be connected to a stable network and have at least 20% battery. And there should be no mowing schedule in the next hour. It is necessary to complete the firmware update seamlessly.

Switch the Connection

Switch between 4G and Wi-Fi. Go to Settings > Mower > My Device > Network. Select Wi-Fi only.

After a few minutes, switch back to 4G. Keep in mind that it takes 1-2 minutes for the connection to switch successfully.

This time, the mower might connect to the 4G without any issues.
