Navimow robot lawn mowers automate lawn mowing. You only need to select the desired height and mowing time, and they take care of everything.
But if the mower is not following the mowing schedule, it’s a problem. It could be due to map issues, no signals, rain delay, low battery, and various other reasons.
Let’s check out the common reasons for Navimow not following the mowing schedule. We will also share some solutions and fixes you can try on your own to resolve the issue.
Reasons Navimow Is Not Following Schedule
No Map Available
Without a proper map, your Navimow mower will not follow any schedule. Because it doesn’t know where to go and which area to mow. If you haven’t mapped yet or the map is incomplete or deleted, you are likely to face this issue.
Once you complete mapping, the mower will automatically work according to the schedule. We will explain how you can map your lawn properly later in this article.
Sometimes, users forget to save the map after editing it. It also leads to scheduling issues.

Scheduling Settings
After mapping your lawn, you have to schedule it. Because scheduling is turned off by default. You have to open the settings and set the schedule you want. Without it, the mower will wait for your one-time mowing command.
Sometimes, users set a schedule in the Navimow app, but the scheduling is actually disabled. That’s why the mower does not follow the schedule.
There is a toggle button in the Mowing Schedule settings. You have to turn it on to enable scheduled mowing.

Rain Delay
If the mower has been following the schedule without any issues, but it has been misbehaving recently, it’s probably because of the bad weather.
Navimow lawn mowers have a feature that keeps an eye on the weather forecast. If there is rain expected, it delays the schedule. It knows about the start and end of rain because of the forecast. Therefore, for the safety of the mower and to ensure optimal cutting performance, it delays mowing.
You don’t have to do anything in this case. It’s perfectly normal, and the mower will start mowing after the rain. And after that, it will follow the schedule.
Low Battery
The mower requires a charged battery to mow the lawn according to the schedule. The battery should be at least 90% to start the scheduled mowing. If the battery is lower than that, the mower will focus on recharging and neglect the schedule.
It usually happens when you do one-time mowing, and then there is a scheduled mowing afterward. Because of the one-time mowing session, the battery of the mower is low. It needs time to recharge. The mower will not mow your lawn unless it is 90% charged.
Nighttime Mowing Settings Issues
If you are facing the problem at night, there is a high possibility that nighttime mowing is disabled.
Without this setting enabled, the mower will not mow at night even if it is scheduled for that time. It’s a great feature that gives users more control and ensures nighttime mowing only when the user is comfortable with it.

Time Zone Issues
This is one of the most common reasons for Navimow not to follow the set schedule.
If you want the mower to work exactly according to your schedule, you have to set the time zone correctly. Otherwise, the mower will mow the lawn, but its time will be off from what you have set.
Mower is Not There
To start mowing according to the schedule, it is necessary for the mower to be on the charging station or mowing area.
If it is not there, the mowing won’t start according to the schedule. It happens when you take the mower to a non-mapped area for cleaning or any other reason.
Secondly, if the mower didn’t reach the charging station because of a dead battery or error, it could miss the schedule.
No Signal
Navimow mowers require stable signals to mow your lawn. If there is a signal issue, the mower will not start scheduled mowing.
In this case, you will see a flashing yellow light on the charging station or mower. It indicates issues with the signals.
The mower will not mow your lawn until the signals are improved. We will teach you how you can improve the signals later in this article.
Disconnected Area
You can make multiple zones in the map. The mower will automatically mow all of them according to the schedule.
But if there is any disconnected area, the mower will not go there. By disconnected areas, we mean that the area or zone is not connected to other zones through channels.
Thus, the mower won’t follow any schedule because it does not know the path or way to go there.

How to Fix Navimow Not Following Mowing Schedule
Restart the Mower
Often there is no issue with the mower. It’s just that you recently made changes to the schedule and settings, and the mower is not processing them.
In this case, you only need to restart the mower. Also, restart the mobile application. After that, the mower will work fine and follow the schedule.
Update the Firmware
Make sure the firmware is up to date. Without it, there are possibilities of scheduling issues and other problems.
Open the Navimow app. Go to Settings > Mower > Device Management > Firmware Version. If there is any update available, you should switch to the latest firmware version.
Along with the mower, also check for the mobile application update. If there is a new version available, update it.
Schedule Mowing Correctly
New users often make mistakes while creating a mowing schedule. Here are the steps they need to follow.
Step 1: Open the Navimow app. Tap the hamburger icon in the top left corner.
Step 2: Tap Mowing Schedule. Turn on scheduled mowing by tapping on the radio button.
Step 3: You will see the days of the week and the hours of the day. Select any specific day. Choose the zones you want to mow and set the mowing period. Tap Confirm.

Step 4: Similarly, adjust the mowing zones and periods of each day of the week. Confirm the schedules. Now, your mower will mow the lawn accordingly.
Complete Mapping
Complete mapping in the Navimow application so that the mower can mow according to the schedule.
Here’s how you can map the lawn if you have just started.
Step 1: Open the Navimow application.
Step 2: Tap “Create a Map.”
Step 3: Hit the Calibrate button. The mower will calibrate on its own. It will come out of the charging station and move a bit. Then, it will return.
Step 4: Tap Start Mapping. You will see the arrow buttons on the app. Move the mower to the location from where you want to start mapping. Tap “Reached starting point.”
Step 5: Move the mower to map the area. You can move along the edges and create the boundary of the zone.

Step 6: You will reach the same point from where you started mapping. Tap Done.
If you have an incomplete map or want to add more zones, follow these steps.
Step 1: Go to the map and tap Edit.
Step 2: Tap Add More > Boundary.

Step 3: Move the mower to the starting point. Tap “Reached starting point.”
Step 4: Map the zone or area. Once you are done, save the map.
Saving the map is necessary. People often forget to do that, and the mowing schedule is disturbed just because of that.

Connect Zones with Channels
All zones must be connected through channels. Without them, the mower will not have a defined path to go to that area and mow according to the schedule.
Here’s how you can create channels.
Step 1: Open the Navimow application.
Step 2: Go to the map. Tap Add More.
Step 3: Tap Channel. Move the mower to the starting point or boundary of one zone. From there, drive the mower to the boundary of another zone. It will automatically create the channel.
Keep in mind that there should be no obstacle within 3.3ft (1 meter) inside the channel.

Adjust the Time Zone
Setting the right time zone is necessary. Otherwise, the mower will be off by several hours.
Step 1: Open the app and go to Settings.
Step 2: Go to Device Management > Basic Info.
Step 3: Select the time zone and country. Pick your local region. You can also select the standard time and turn on Daylight Saving Time (DST) if applicable.
Charge the Mower
If you have recently finished one-time mowing, you need to give the mower a rest so that it can charge completely. After recharging, it will automatically resume mowing according to the schedule.
However, if the mower’s battery died in the middle of the lawn, you have to bring it back to the charging station. If it was the first and last time, you don’t have to worry about it. But if the battery is dying before the mower can reach the charging station, it indicates a hardware issue.
Moreover, it’s also possible that obstacles around the charging station could be stopping the mower from returning. Inspect for stones, twigs, and other objects. Make sure the area around the charging station is clear. There should be at least 1.6ft clearance on both sides and 6.5ft clearance at the front.

Enable Nighttime Mowing
If you have scheduled mowing at night, you need to enable Nighttime Mowing.
Step 1: Open the app and go to Settings.
Step 2: Select Mower and look for VisionFence Sensor.
Step 3: Enable mowing at night.

Improve Charging Station Location
We have talked about the importance of GPS signals. If the charging station has a flashing yellow light, it means there is an issue with the signals, and it’s stopping the mower from working on its schedule.
The actual problem in this case is the placement of the charging station. Often, new users do not pay close attention to the charging station’s location. They select any free area for the purpose.

The charging station must be installed in an open space. There should be no walls, houses, or trees within a 6.6 ft radius. Keep everything away so that the charging station can receive signals without any obstructions.
Do not put the charging station under a roof or in shade. It requires a clear view of the sky to ensure excellent signals.
Change the location of the charging station. Opt for an area where signals are stable.
Change Antenna Location
For RTK users, the antenna location decides signal coverage and strength. If you have placed the antenna at the wrong location, the mower may not receive signals.
Select an open space for the antenna. It should be 6.6ft away from walls, dense trees, and houses. There should be no obstruction between the sky and the antenna.

You can place the antenna in the lawn. If there is not enough or unobstructed space, you can place it over the roof or wall.
You can also check the Satellite Signal Analyzer. Open the Navimow app. Go to Settings > Satellite Signal Analyzer. It will show the satellites in all directions. Now, place the antenna at a suitable place in the lawn where there are more satellites and better coverage.
